“Building Up – for a Sustainable Society” is a short-term EVS mobility that involves 25 young people from 4 countries – Italy, Bulgaria, Germany and Scotland. It is 2 weeks in July 2019 (13th – 28th) full of community building involved in the gardening project of the GFO Klostergarten, an interesting community project in a small village nearby Cologne / Bonn in Germany. The “Building Up” project is an intergenerationel project where the volunteers work in the garden together with kids from the kindergarten and elderly people from the residential home for the elderly. The volunteers will work with sustainability actions e.g. Virtual Reality for Impact or sustainable source of electricity.
In addition the Volunteers offer different workshops with people from the community e.g. organise a sport event with the local football club.
The team volunteering project “Bulding Up” wants to host volunteers experiencing deprivation or discrimination in their homeland. We want gender-balance and diversity within the team of volunteers. The project is part of the European Solidarity Corps.
The registration is now open for young people from 18 to 25 years old: firstname.lastname@example.org
